Dance Photography
The human body is extraordinary and dance photography is one of the most perfect ways to show it off. I have been working with dancers from all over the world this year and it's been an absolute joy. Projects have included some of my own as well as working alongside dancers to achieve what they wanted. I am constantly looking for new challenges and am particularly interested in collaborating with dancers who want to achieve specific images.
Trying to convey three dimensional movement and dynamics in a two dimensional format is a passion of mine.
I am available for promotional images, rehearsal shoots, dance-school photography, theatre companies, location or studio photography and head shots.
For a dancer, promotional material is important and photography has a high impact. I capture the image you need by working with you, listening to what you want and understanding what is needed to achieve the end result. I use my knowledge from other type of photography in my dance photography . Working with dancers who are above all unique emotional individual so an emotional response is as needed as a visual one. The body follows the soul and the soul follows the body. I use my understanding of people to coax a display of the inner emotion not just the outer movement.
I enjoy working alongside theatre companies , dance companies and individual dancers. Although I am based near London, I will travel anywhere.
